All classes at Art Paint Draw are for students ages 14-adult and are in person at our store in Cottonwood AZ. Classes require a minimum of 4 students enrolled with a maximum of 8. Refund policy: If we don’t meet the minimum within one day of class starting, class may be cancelled and students given a full refund. For classes that meet the minimum enrollment, there are no refunds within 1 week of class start (or first session of a series). Contact for any questions info@artpaintdraw.com

FEBRUARY CLASSES

Watercolor Wednesdays! Beginner (3hrs)

Wednesday February 18th 1-4pm $40.00

***Please plan to bring your own watercolors or purchase our class watercolor sampler or a set from the store. Some paper, brushes, and other supplies will be available to use in class.

Ages 14+ Intermediate: Come and explore tips, tricks & techniques that will show you how to create watercolor MAGIC on the first Wednesday of the month. No experience with watercolors is required. Just bring your enthusiasm, humor & willingness to explore this wonderful medium. Class size limited to 5 students in order to give each student maximum opportunity to learn brush techniques & color mixing along with basic composition guidelines.

Teacher: Nita Marlette

Teacher Bio: Nita is a signature member of the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area where she was heavily influenced by the watercolor style of the "California Artists" (1920's-1940's American Regionalist Movement). In Arizona, the Southwestern architecture and Sedona's rocky landscapes have become her favorite subjects to paint.

Paintalong Watercolor Pencils: Coyote (2hrs)

Tuesday February 24th 2026 1-3pm $25

Ages 14+ Beginner Level:

Step by step instructions takes you through the process of creating a postcard sized painting from this photograph of a howling coyote using watercolor pencils. Good for beginners and continuing artists. Space is limited to 7 students. Materials for use in class provided by Art Paint Draw and additional blank cards are available to purchase.

Magic photo transfers with Gelli Plate! (3hrs)

Friday February 27, 2026 1-4pm $37.50

Ages 14+ Intermediate: Discover the magic of photo transfers with Gelli Plates. We will be using both a 5 x 7 plate and an 8 x 10. You will have a choice of images to transfer and we'll discuss how to use them in your art. Some gel plate experience is best. All materials for this class will be provided by Art Paint Draw and Trish.

More Art Less Fear: Printmaking (3hrs)

Saturday March 7th, 1-4pm $45

Ages 14+ Beginner: “Can’t Draw? Don’t let that get in your way!” Is an introduction to printmaking using gelli plates and handmade stamps. If you feel intimidated by art making, this workshop will offer you creative skills you can try in your own home using accessible materials to make cool things. Perfect for beginning and returning students. This class will cover a variety of printmaking methods including gelli plates, stamp carving, creating textures with repurposed objects, stencils, masking, and monoprints. All materials to use in class will be provided.

Adventures In Sketchbook Journaling! (3hrs)

Saturday March 14th 1-4pm $40.00

****note: we have lowered the price of our monthly "Adventures In Sketchbook Journaling" classes which now does not include a class kit. However, paper and brushes are included for use in class. You will need to bring your own watercolor paint or purchase a watercolor sampler or a paint set from the store.

Ages 14+ Intermediate: Previous experience with drawing strongly encouraged. Explore ways to illustrate your pages and tell your story using simple illustrations, creative formatting and personal themes. Sketchbooks are a one-of-kind work of art, unique to you through your marks & memories from travels to doodles to notes. Be ready to explore creative page layout ideas, lettering and composite sketches. Please bring your imagination, humor & willingness to explore. Good for first time students and continuing students

Gelli Plate to Frame: Positive Spaces! (3hrs)

Friday March 20st, 1-4pm $37.50

Ages 14+ Beginning/Intermediate: Creating positive images with Gelli Plate backgrounds. 

Come Join us for Positive Spaces! Make backgrounds using a Gelli Plate and then use them to create frameable art Everything supplied by Trish and Art, Paint, Draw including a 5x7 matt.  If you have gel prints that you’ve made, bring them to use. Some gel printing experience may be helpful but beginners are welcome!
