All classes at Art Paint Draw are for students ages 14-adult and are in person at our store in Cottonwood AZ. Classes require a minimum of 4 students enrolled with a maximum of 8. Refund policy: If we don’t meet the minimum within one day of class starting, class may be cancelled and students given a full refund. For classes that meet the minimum enrollment, there are no refunds within 1 week of class start (or first session of a series). Contact for any questions info@artpaintdraw.com

Watercolor Wednesdays! Intermediate (3hrs)

Ages 14+ Intermediate: Come and explore tips, tricks & techniques that will bring your watercolor MAGIC to the next level. If you have taken any of Nita's Watercolor Wednesday! Beginner classes or have watercolor experience, then this is the class for you! Bring your enthusiasm, humor & willingness to explore this wonderful medium. Class size limited to 5 students.

Teacher Bio: Nita is a signature member of the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area where she was heavily influenced by the watercolor style of the "California Artists" (1920's-1940's American Regionalist Movement). In Arizona, the Southwestern architecture and Sedona's rocky landscapes have become her favorite subjects to paint.
Adventures In Sketchbook Journaling! (3hrs)

Explore ways to illustrate your pages and tell your story using simple illustrations, creative formatting and personal themes. Sketchbooks are a one-of-kind work of art, unique to you through your marks & memories from travels to doodles to notes. More Art Less Fear: Printmaking (3hrs)
Saturday November 22nd, 1-4pm $45
Ages 14+ Beginner: “Can’t Draw? Don’t let that get in your way!” Is an introduction to printmaking using gelli plates and handmade stamps. If you feel intimidated by art making, this workshop will offer you creative skills you can try in your own home using accessible materials to make cool things. Perfect for beginning and returning students. This class will cover a variety of printmaking methods including gelli plates, stamp carving, creating textures with repurposed objects, stencils, masking, and monoprints. All materials to use in class will be provided.

Ages 14+ Beginner: Come and explore tips, tricks & techniques that will show you how to create watercolor MAGIC on the first Wednesday of the month. No experience with watercolors is required. Just bring your enthusiasm, humor & willingness to explore this wonderful medium. Class size limited to 5 students in order to give each student maximum opportunity to learn brush techniques & color mixing along with basic composition guidelines. This month we will explore a special winter landscape.

Intro to Relief Printing, aka Stamp Making (3hrs)
Saturday December 13th, 1-4pm $45
Ages 14+ Beginner: Come learn the basics of relief printing by carving your own stamps to decorate and personalize gift wrapping, gift tags or cards for the winter holidays! We’ll learn how to use carving tools, how to transfer images we want to carve onto soft blocks, and how to print our stamps. We’ll also experience the meditative and visual power of repetition and pattern. You don’t need to have previous printmaking or drawing skills to enjoy this workshop!

Frequency Art: Painting Beyond the Visible (3hrs)

Ages 14+ Beginner: Discover Frequency Art in this intriguing 3-hour class with artist Lynnda Pollio. You’ll learn to paint with energy and intuition, creating a visual expression that carries your unique frequency. No experience needed, just curiosity, a willingness to explore beyond the visible and have fun! Materials to use in class will be provided by Art Paint Draw. We’ll primarily be using markers and pens.

More Art Less Fear: Collage Valentine’s Day! (3hrs)
Saturday January 31st, 1-4pm $45
Ages 14+ Beginner: This class session will include an opportunity to include card making with love. “Everything You Need to Know You Learned in Kindergarten” is a collage focused workshop that also includes mark-making. A mindset of lowering stakes and embracing mistakes will be encouraged. Through warm up activities, tips about repurposing materials, composition principles, reviews on texture, and printmaking methods; participants will each make a 5”x7” collage. This workshop is a great followup to the “More Art Less Fear:Printmaking” class, and all techniques can be combined. Classes can be repeated. All materials will be provided
