All classes at Art Paint Draw are for students ages 14-adult and are in person at our store in Cottonwood AZ. Classes require a minimum of 4 students enrolled with a maximum of 8. Refund policy: If we don’t meet the minimum within one day of class starting, class may be cancelled and students given a full refund. For classes that meet the minimum enrollment, there are no refunds within 1 week of class start (or first session of a series). Contact for any questions info@artpaintdraw.com

Watercolor Wednesdays! Intermediate (3hrs)
Wednesday January 7th 1-4pm $40.00
***Please plan to bring your own watercolors or purchase our class watercolor sampler or a set from the store. Some paper, brushes, and other supplies will be available to use in class.
Ages 14+ Intermediate: Come and explore tips, tricks & techniques that will bring your watercolor MAGIC to the next level. If you have taken any of Nita's Watercolor Wednesday! Beginner classes or have watercolor experience, then this is the class for you! Bring your enthusiasm, humor & willingness to explore this wonderful medium. Class size limited to 5 students.
Teacher: Nita Marlette
Teacher Bio: Nita is a signature member of the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area where she was heavily influenced by the watercolor style of the "California Artists" (1920's-1940's American Regionalist Movement). In Arizona, the Southwestern architecture and Sedona's rocky landscapes have become her favorite subjects to paint.
From Gelli Plate to Frame 1 (3hrs)
Saturday January 10th, 1-4pm $37.50
Ages 14+ Intermediate: Creating positive images with Gelli Plate backgrounds.
What to do with all those amazing backgrounds created with your Gelli Plate…how about creating a frameable work of art? We’ll show you how! Use your own sketch or copy one of the drawings we bring to share. Leave with something you love. Everything supplied by Trish and Art Paint Draw. If you have gel prints that you’ve made, feel free to bring them to use. Some gel printing experience helpful.

Landscapes in Acrylic (3hrs)
Tuesday January 13th, 1-4pm $45

Ages 14+ Intermediate (prior drawing/painting experience required): This workshop introduces students to essential techniques for creating landscape paintings using acrylic paint. Our class will focus on composition, color relationships, and layering techniques to build depth and atmosphere. Students will work from reference images while learning how to block in forms, establish light and shadow, and refine details using acrylic’s fast-drying properties. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a completed or near-completed landscape painting and practical strategies for continuing their work independently.

Teacher Bio: Ben P Norton is an artist based out of Rimrock, AZ. Originally from Nashville, TN, Ben has worked in museums, colleges, and both non-profit and commercial galleries as an artist and educator. For the past nine years, he has taught a range of classes in Painting, Drawing, and 2-D Design as a professor at Yavapai College.
Paintalong Watercolor Pencils: Coyote (2hrs)

Ages 14+ Beginner Level:
Step by step instructions takes you through the process of creating a postcard sized painting from this photograph of a howling coyote using watercolor pencils. Good for beginners and continuing artists. Space is limited to 7 students. Materials for use in class provided by Art Paint Draw and additional blank cards are available to purchase.

Ages 14+ Intermediate: Come and explore tips, tricks & techniques that will show you how to create watercolor MAGIC on the first Wednesday of the month. No experience with watercolors is required. Just bring your enthusiasm, humor & willingness to explore this wonderful medium. Class size limited to 5 students in order to give each student maximum opportunity to learn brush techniques & color mixing along with basic composition guidelines.

Frequency Art: Painting Beyond the Visible (3hrs)
Thursday January 22nd 1-4pm $45
Ages 14+ Beginner: Discover Frequency Art in this intriguing 3-hour class with artist Lynnda Pollio. You’ll learn to paint with energy and intuition, creating a visual expression that carries your unique frequency. No experience needed, just curiosity, a willingness to explore beyond the visible and have fun! Materials to use in class will be provided by Art Paint Draw. We’ll primarily be using markers and pens.

Teacher Bio: Lynnda Pollio is a Frequency Artist, Consciousness Doula, and award-winning author. Her paintings are encoded transmissions, vibrational hieroglyphics that bypass the mind and speak directly to the body and spirit. Blending decades of experience in consciousness and creativity, she helps others reconnect with their own energetic essence through art.
More Art Less Fear: Printmaking (3hrs)
Saturday January 24th, 1-4pm $45
Ages 14+ Beginner: “Can’t Draw? Don’t let that get in your way!” Is an introduction to printmaking using gelli plates and handmade stamps. If you feel intimidated by art making, this workshop will offer you creative skills you can try in your own home using accessible materials to make cool things. Perfect for beginning and returning students. This class will cover a variety of printmaking methods including gelli plates, stamp carving, creating textures with repurposed objects, stencils, masking, and monoprints. All materials to use in class will be provided.

From Gelli Plate to Frame 2 (4hrs) with Pan Pastels!
Friday January 30th, 1-4pm $45.00
Ages 14+ Intermediate: Gelli Plate and Pan Pastels…a perfect match!
Create beautiful pastel paintings with your gel plate, a transfer and pan pastels. And the best part? You should be able to get as many as 3 or even 4 pulls from one ‘painting’. Come create with us! We’ll supply everything you need. Gel plate experience not required but some painting experience is helpful. We will be working with a larger format gel plate for this class (8"x10").

More Art Less Fear: Collage Valentine’s Day! (3hrs)
Saturday January 31st, 1-4pm $45
Ages 14+ Beginner: This class session will include an opportunity to include card making with love. “Everything You Need to Know You Learned in Kindergarten” is a collage focused workshop that also includes mark-making. A mindset of lowering stakes and embracing mistakes will be encouraged. Through warm up activities, tips about repurposing materials, composition principles, reviews on texture, and printmaking methods; participants will each make a 5”x7” collage. This workshop is a great followup to the “More Art Less Fear:Printmaking” class, and all techniques can be combined. Classes can be repeated. All materials will be provided
